Sandy Hollow B&B Croyde Bay Surf Report

Tue 24th...Big and totally blown out, west southwesterly winds gusting up to Gale force 8 first thing. Overnight gales have resulted in large out of control surf on all beaches. The wind is expected to back a little more towards a south southwest direction later, but still remain the same strength if not stronger. Surfing conditions poor, big and out of control on all local beaches. Puts, although very windy and a reasonable size, might offer a little shelter late this afternoon around low tide??         

Enjoy your surf, stay safe. There are no lifeguards on the beaches until Easter 2010. If you're not sure about the conditions, ask for advice! Ask for advice in the surf, or surf hire shops, also check out the surf schools. If you see someone in difficulty in the sea or on the beach dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

From Braunton take the B3231 to Croyde, continue past the beach and on towards the village. About 250 meters before the road narrows to enter Croyde, turn left into Sandy Lane just before the entrance to Bay View Farm Campsite, drive on keeping to the right and you will see Sandy Hollow on your left.
